 Dream and Nightmare

This collaborative project brief was to consider a series of ideas, words, phrases, or symbols that go together. With that thought, my team took dream and nightmare. I focused on nightmare and visually captured the idea that a nightmare is not about the content, but about the feeling of being trapped and having not control.

Nightmare

Throughout this process, I thought of my own nightmares. Each one different and heart pounding, but something connected them. It always felt like the danger, creatures, nature, and fear were inescapable. I took that feeling and translated into my piece with my imagery, use hand drawn animation, and lullaby as the soundtrack. Before combining Dream and Nightmare, I add the sounds of my own heavy breathing to intensify trapped and fearful theme my project.
